Position Description
Perform laundering of soiled hospital linens using CDC Guidelines for aseptic laundering standards, organization Covid-19 Laundering Policy, DNV Regulations.
Job Duties:
Utilize training and experience to perform a wide range of functions within the healthcare setting included, but are not limited to:
- Collecting soiled linens from hospital departments by using the proper transport containers
- Sorting linens
- Pre-Soaking linens
- Washing linens
- Drying linens
- Folding linens
- Delivering clean linens to hospital departments
- Preparing clean, laundered linens for Laundry truck pick-up
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions
- Ability to learn new tasks related to environmental services laundry
- Participates in Infection Prevention Program Activities
- Participates in annual training
- Maintains all required daily laundry operations logs in a timely manner
- Wiping with disinfectant all counters
- High dusting cobwebs off of ceilings and vents
- Dusting on top of all laundry equipment
- Wipe all equipment
- Pull trash
- Sweep & mop floor
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Training/Experience:
Previous experience in commercial laundry is preferred.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of commercial laundry operations
- Knowledge of the operation of commercial washers, dryers is preferred
